Museum Passes

Island Park residents can now enjoy free admission passes to museums throughout Long Island and New York City, by taking advantage of our Museum Pass Program. To make use of the program, individuals must have a valid Island Park Library card in good standing. To check availability of the passes, please call the Library at (516)432-0122.

  • Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Closed Mondays (but open Memorial Day and Columbus Day, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.)
  • Closed Labor Day
  • Last admission into the Garden is 30 minutes before closing time.
  • Note: Specialty gardens including the Discovery Garden, Rose Garden, and portions of the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden and Native Flora Garden begin to close at 5:30 p.m.

The history of aviation, the history of Long Island and the history of the United States became intimately entwined with the dawn of flight. From the early days Long Island has played a very important role in the development and growth of aviation and aerospace.

Days and Hours of Operation: Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30AM to 5PM & The IMAS Theatre is open 7 days a week. The museum pass is for 2 adults, 4 children, ages 18 and younger, 15% discount for the museum store, and a discount on the purchase of IMAX tickets.

One of the most successful aircraft carrier in US history, the Intrepid is a national historic landmark. Features include a range of interactive exhibits and events. You can ride in the A-6 Cockpit Simulator, visit the Virtual Flight Zone, or tour the inside of the world’s fastest commercial airplane, the Concorde.

Long Island Children’s Museum is a learning laboratory where hands-on exhibits invite visitors to experiment, examine, and play. The lively interdisciplinary activities are designed for children ages 1 through 12 and adults.

Days and Hours of Operations: The Museum is opened daily, Monday through Sunday, September through June from 10AM to 5PM, July and August, Closed Mondays, Tuesday through Sunday from 10AM to 5PM. Check the website or call for holiday schedule. The Museum pass allows admission for 4 people. There is a 10% discount on purchases made in the Museum store.

Ranked among the nation’s largest suburban art museums, Nassau County Museum of Art is located about 25 miles east of New York City in Roslyn Harbor, Long Island on the former Frick Estate, a spectacular property in the hear of Long Island’s fabled Gold Coast. The main museum building, named in honor of art collectors and philanthropists Arnold and Joan Saltzman, is a three-story Georgian mansion that exemplifies Gold Coast architecture of the late 19th century. Old Westbury Gardens is a magnificent example of the finest in period landscape design and architecture in America. The Charles II-style mansion, former home of the Helps family, is nestled amid 160 acres of formal gardens, woodlands, ponds, and lakes. Volunteers provide daily tours of Westbury House on the hour and the half-hour, and of the Gardens at 11AM and 2PM. Guided tours last approximately 45 minutes
